Some in Clinton email batch newly classified
The State Department fell short of a court order requiring the release of the vast bulk of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails by the end of 2015 but promised Thursday to catch up early in the new year.

In all, the State Department says 1,274 of Clinton’s emails were retroactively classified since the department started reviewing them for release.
The State Department was supposed to release over 8,000 pages of emails Thursday – 16% of Clinton’s total available emails – but will be releasing approximately 5,500 instead. Republicans have questioned whether her use of a private email system put sensitive information at risk.
Clinton, now a Democratic candidate for the White House, did not publicly endorse marriage equality until after she stepped down from her post as secretary of state.
In the latest batch, Clinton and one of her closest aides, Jake Sullivan, had an exchange in September 2010 that showed considerable confusion over her email practices.
Clinton has raised roughly as much for the primary as President Barack Obama did during 2011 as a sitting president and more than either Clinton or Obama in 2007 despite having one fewer quarter to raise.
Numerous emails concern personnel matters, such as Clinton congratulating people on new jobs, or recommending people for jobs, overseeing Congressional confirmation of appointees, or nominating employees for awards.
“Pls let him know Bill called-unsuccessfully”, Clinton writes.
The State Department, however, reminded that the classifications were retroactive. But Clinton attorney David Kendall said that Clinton could not access the missing documents.
The majority of the donations made in the fourt quarter – 94 percent – were in increments of less than $100, Hillary For America said.
In a Telemundo Noticiero exclusive, Jose Diaz-Balart spoke extensively with 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump about his inflammatory remarks about Mexico, among other hot topics.

The department said Thursday it plans to release more Clinton emails next week. But it acknowledged that it would not meet the target set by a federal judge of producing 82 percent of her emails by the end of December.
