Reports have begun flying all over the World Wide Web that Apple’s newly announced iPhone 7 and 7 Plus seem to be making a odd hissing sound coming from the back of the phone.

Apple (AAPL, Tech30) confirmed on Wednesday that it is nixing the traditional 3.5-mm headphone jack for its new line of phones – the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. But in the case of the iPhone 7 home button user are reporting that touchscreen gloves don’t work. The sounds are said to come from the back of each phone. Though, the sound due to the coil is not a phenomenon unheard of in electronic devices.

Hackett reached out to AppleCare Support on this and was told to head to the nearest Apple Store for a replacement.

Since the hissing sound usually occurs when the A10 is under heavy load, it would suggest that the cause has something to do with the chipset.

The hissing sound comes out when the iPhone 7 processes large files or programs.

The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, which use different modems compared to what the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6 Plus have, are running into some cellular issues. However, Apple is yet to make an official statement about how widespread the problem is or the cause behind it. Basically, the sound is just a byproduct of the device working away.
