Some iPhone 7 Plus reported to “hiss” under CPU load
While it might be frustrating to some users, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are enormously powerful pieces of silicon capable of performing tasks at incredible speeds.

While Samsung grappled with the Galaxy Note7 battery explosion fiasco, arch rival Apple had a grand opening for the iPhone 7 series launch last weekend, witnessing overwhelming response from consumers across the world.
In your haste, if you purchased an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 7 Plus, and if you’ve encountered some hissing noises emanating from either smartphone, turns out you’re not the only one.
Some are saying this could be on the processor’s problem while some suggest maybe the hissing sound is kind of a cooling system for the device.
So how do you reboot an iPhone 7?
A Twitter user named Stephen Hackett has posted a video of the hissing iPhone and confirmed to a Twitter follower that he took it back to where he bought it and made a successful exchange. Even if this is “coil whine”, there’s something not quite right here and as of yet, Apple has not responded to requests for comment. It costs Dhs3,300 and Dhs3,669 for the iPhone 7 Plus.
The new iPhone 7 was unleashed upon the world just days ago, but already there’s something weird going on with them, apparently. But in a quiet room, with the phone under heavy load, this is what Hackett recorded, and it doesn’t sound normal at all.
This isn’t the first time a newly released iPhone has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons.
Whatever the cause, Apple offered to replace Hackett’s phone and would presumably do the same for anyone else whose phone is experiencing the same problem.

Note that you should only hard reboot your iPhone 7 if the device has frozen and you can not restart via the normal method (holding the sleep/wake button until you see “slide to power off”).
