Some members of Trump’s Hispanic advisory board consider pulling support

He said it was better to speak with Donald than “cross my arms” and do nothing in response to Trump’s “affronts, insults and humiliations”. Back in Arizona, Trump dialed up his nativist rhetoric against immigration and free trade, although he tempered his promise to deport an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants, saying no one had a clue how many exactly there were.

According to BuzzFeed, an Internet media outlet, during his meeting with Hispanic leaders early this month, Trump indicated an openness to legalization for undocumented immigrants, a claim later denied by the Trump campaign.

Trump’s speech on immigration, like the rest of his campaign, is aimed at the insecurities and prejudices of conservative white voters.

“He said I’m not paying for the wall”. “On Day One, we will begin working on an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, lovely southern wall”, he boasted to his mostly white nativist supporters.

“We thought he heard us”. “Mr. Trump is the right guy for the job”.

Trump’s “America First” positions are aimed at rallying mainly middle-class white people who feel they have lost jobs to illegal immigrants or to the outsourcing of jobs overseas.

“This is going to be a tough race and I didn’t have any illusions about it and Hillary Clinton doesn’t either”.

“I have serious doubts that she really wants to solve the immigration problem”.

Wow-I hope you have your ticket, because the Straight Talk Express is about to leave the station and Donald Trump is driving it!

His message was similar to that of America’s largest Latino advocacy group, The National Council of La Raza’s message.

Texas pastor Ramiro Pena, another member, said that the council was a “scam” in an email to RNC officials that was first reported by Politico.

The fiery speech confirmed Tr ump’s hard line on immigration shortly after he insisted to Pena Nieto that a giant wall would be built on the US-Mexico border if he was elected.

Anyone who has ever been in a Twitter beef knows what’s next: Nieto quoted Trump’s tweet and, again, said Mexico would not pay for the wall: “I repeat what I said personally, Mr. Trump: Mexico would never pay for a wall”. “This is not the time to work a deal on who pays for the wall”.

Given Trump’s previous remarks calling Mexican immigrants rapists and killers, Nieto toughened his stance and branded the USA presidential candidate “a real threat” to Mexico in a speech with young people.
