Some relief from the heat is on the way, Oklahoma!

With the passage of the cold front tonight, skies will clear quickly during the course of Wednesday evening, and humidity levels will drop off considerably.

Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday (I still don’t have a good handle on the timing). The combination of lower humidity and lower temps will make it at least a little more tolerable during the afternoon hours. The only hiccup, depending on how you see it, will come in the form of some rather breezy conditions throughout the day.

Temperatures on Tuesday will quickly warm into the mid and upper 80s.

Thursday: Early morning sunshine with increasing clouds and a line of t-storms moving in by the afternoon. With the high humidity, though, the heat index is in triple-digit territory today and tomorrow, before edging back a bit starting Friday.

It’s on to a split decision for the weekend from there. Temperatures cool to the low 90s and upper 80s during this time. The ice cold entrance affects all night, but a a few thunderstorms remain to be possible Monday.

However, as Oklahomans we know that the official arrival of fall may not necessarily mean cooler temperatures.
