Someone’s created new signs for Night Tube etiquette

Speaking on the business decision, Martin Smith, Tesco’s London Convenience Director, said: “London is such a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and visit and the Night Tube provides people with a great way to experience the city at a time that suits them best”.

There will be an increase in house price for property located within 10 minutes of a Night Tube station on the Victoria and Central lines says estate agent Strutt & Parker. The London Underground introduced limited overnight service Saturday, a move city leaders hope will make the British capital a truly 24-hour city and bolster the local economy.

London has a vibrant party scene but relatively few venues are open past 1 am, an early finish compared to cities such as NY, and most pubs still serve their last drinks at 11 pm.

The Central Line, which opened in 1900, runs eastwest. “We’ve changed the face of weekend travel forever and I’m delighted that tens of thousands of Londoners and visitors to the capital were able to travel faster and more safely at night than even before”.

“So we are serving many different people with many different requirements and this is fantastic for London and now we are part of that 24/7 operation”, he added.

Among passengers was London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan, who travelled on the Victoria Line from Brixton after the launch.

The night-time service was scheduled to start in September a year ago but was delayed by a dispute with trade unions over staff conditions and pay.

Night Tube has also created over 500 jobs, including part-time drivers, station staff, maintenance workers, and service control staff.

British Transport Police, which has allotted 100 officers to patrol the nocturnal network, said the first weekend passed “peacefully” and it was called to just four incidents on the first night.
