Something needs to change at Swansea, says chairman Jenkins
“The club deserve better than what we are giving them”, Monk said after the defeat to Leicester.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk is seen during their Premier League match against Leicester City at Liberty Stadium, Swansea December 5, 2015.
Yesterday leading bookmaker William Hill suspended betting on Monk becoming the third Premier League manager to lose their job this season with Rodgers the favourite to step into the breach.
Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says “something needs to change” at the club as speculation mounts about manager Garry Monk’s future.
The Swans have struggled so far in the current campaign, with their latest 3-0 loss to Leicester City seeing them just one point away from the relegation zone.
David Moyes was not thought to be on Swansea’s agenda but Rangers boss Mark Warburton is thought to have been made aware of Liberty interest, though he is not believed to be a No. 1 choice.
However, in light of the recent results it has been reported that the Swansea hierarchy have reconsidered Monk’s position and are looking at alternatives. “No-one knows the club better than me and I have tried to instill the principles and values of the club into the players and how we play but things are not good enough at the moment”.
Monk is still in charge and his next chance to recover the south Wales club’s form comes against title-chasing Manchester City at the Etihad.
