Kirralee Paepaerei’s teenage son reportedly found her body in the Chester St, Mount Druitt, home just after midnight and called emergency services.

It is understood that the man told police he was assaulted during a home invasion.

At this stage, it is believed that the man and woman were know to each other.

“The male did drive from the premises to the police station, and walked in and presented himself at the counter”, he said.

He is now under police guard and is assisting officers with their inquiries.

The woman’s 38-year-old partner was arrested at Mount Druitt Police Station a short time later.

“I can’t describe how he was, he’s very distraught”, Detective Inspector David Goddard said.
