The shooter was identified as 62-year-old George Buller III of Lumberton, N.J. The victim was identified as his 85-year-old mother, Andree.

The shooting occurred around 5:45 p.m. inside the Genesis HealthCare facility on the 3000 block of East Evesham Road in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Police said there was no indication that an argument preceded the shooting, which was confined to Andree Buller’s room.

The two were eating dinner together at about 4:30 p.m. before the fatal shooting, cops said. Later, he reportedly went out to his auto and returned to the room, where he fatally shot his mother before taking his own life.

No one else was hurt during the incident.

Employees tell police they then heard a gunshot.

6ABC reported that the man was in his 60s, and the woman was in her 80s. The residents who were moved out of that wing of the building have not been allowed back, as authorities continue the investigation.

The facility is home to patients receiving short- and long-term care and those receiving cardiac management, dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
