Both the Houses of Parliament were repeatedly adjourned and no business was conducted after the Congress members disrupted proceedings shouting slogans in the well against the government on the Herald case issue, accusing the government of political vendetta. So far, only the Trinamool Congress’s Mamata Banerjee has appeared to commiserate with the Gandhis over the directive to appear in court. They prefer the Gandhis to personally appear before the court to “demonstrate their commitment to follow the legal process”.
