Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was on Firday discharged from the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, after successfully undergoing a minor procedure.
“At the time of her discharge from the hospital last week, doctors had said that she was likely to revisit the hospital for further evaluation of her condition”.
Whereas on the other hand, party sources confirm that she will be at the hospital for the next couple of days at least.
Gandhi had been shifted there on August 3 from Army Hospital, a day after she fell ill during a roadshow in Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. Earlier, the Congress president stayed at the hospital for 11-days during which she had a surgery.
She was discharged on Sunday and was advised to come for further evaluation of her condition this week.
The 69-year-old leader was re-admitted to the hospital on Wednesday.
After two days, she was again admitted on August 17 for a medical check-up and minor treatment procedure.
