Sony blocks Skyrim and Fallout mods on PS4
By introducing a new PlayStation so soon after the initial PS4 release, Sony risks annoying a fan base that isn’t accustomed to smartphone-paced obsolescence (never mind that at $399 the Pro is cheaper than an iPhone). The PS4 processor and graphics card is very primitive compared to what PCs offer today. The development studio blames Sony for blocking the way mods work.

The Pro is capable of outputting games and streaming video at 4K resolution, something the regular PS4 can not do. While many gamers are more than happy with the new arrival to the Playstation 4 family there has been a lot of confusion as to where the new console fits in the current generation of consoles.
But when it comes to games, ditching your PS4 means leaving behind wonderful exclusives such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Ratchet & Clank, as well as upcoming highlights including God Of War, The Last Guardian, Detroit: Become Human, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
The feature was supposed to be released back in June but was delayed because of issues with sound support as well as upload limit and overall performance. It just depends on what the game developer decides to do with the extra resources, if it decides to do anything at all.
The new console can be played with more advanced features.
However, both the Playstation Pro and Microsoft’s “Scorpio” console suggest that the major players of the industry are shifting their business model to one where more-regular hardware refreshes are available.
The PlayStation 4 Pro will cost $400 (Rs 26,700) and goes on sale November 10. However, different between color and lighting is pretty apparent even through this video.
The good news is that it looks like the rumors of Sony possibly charging for the patch is not true. Thus, whenever a game gets extensive graphic rates, “Project Scorpio” will not need to downgrade, but accommodate the frame rate of the game. It can not also play the 4K Blu-ray discs, according to Sony. Now, Sony has introduced the PS4 Neo; now called the PS4 Pro and it’s tagged as better and more powerful than the Xbox One S.
The support won’t be limited to games that have yet to be released either, as existing titles can also be patched to take advantage of the PS4 Pro. My take: that’s a weird decision for a device designed for 4k televisions, but I’m also starkly aware that I don’t plan to buy another Blu-ray as long as I live.
