If you’ve yet to dive into PlayStation Plus, Sony is giving you a chance to test-drive its online service with a free weekend of play – and it starts this Friday!
Sony Computer Entertainment is seeking beta testers for its next PlayStation 4 system software update, version 3.50, which it is “getting close to the release of”.
“You can roll back to the previous system software at any time, so don’t worry about downloading the beta”, PlayStation’s John Koller adds.
You must keep confidential all information relating to the beta software and the beta.
Following on from a similar beta test last September Sony has now opened up registration form or beta testers to be able to get a sneak peek at the wealth of features that will be making their way to the PS4.
If you happen to own a PlayStation 4 and don’t have a subscription to PlayStation Plus, which is required if you want to play games online, then it’s certainly going to be a very good weekend for you. We’ll share more details on which features you’ll be able to test when the beta begins.
This isn’t the first time Sony has had a beta period for the PS4’s firmware update, and it probably won’t be the last.
