Sony kicks off TGS with new PS Vita colors and Bloodborne expansion

Now that this year’s Tokyo Game Show has finally started, more gameplay footage of the Bloodborne: The Old Hunters expansion has surfaced online. However, “it was decided that with one set, we’d be able to do more with it, and have more volume for players to play with”, Yamagiwa said.

It will be a full-scaled DLC and be released on November 24.

You can check out more buzzing video game news coverage from MStars News right here! Announced earlier this week, the upcoming expansion will be the PS4 exclusive’s first, and only, DLC. One of the new weapons is a whip that transforms into a katana, allowing players to switch between mid-ranged and melee attacks without changing weapons. While that doesn’t completely close the door on something after Old Hunters, it certainly seems as though Sony and From are going to be turning their attention to other things.

FromSoftware, the game’s developer, has offered little in the way of specific details regarding what players can expect from “The Old Hunters“, although there does appear to be an array of new content for them to enjoy.

The new saw weapon mentioned in the description has been named Simon’s Bowblade, with Sony also revealing that there will not be a retail disc version of The Old Hunters expansion.

Lastly, The Old Hunters will introduce a new NPCs that can be summoned, and that will be interspersed throughout Bloodborne’s existing campaign. Did this trailer sell “The Old Hunters” to you? Priced at $19.99, the expansion will give players the opportunity to “experience the nightmare of the hunters who once guarded Byrgenwerth’s darkest secrets”.
