This means that the Xbox One upgrade will outperform PlayStation Pro by almost half, and Sony might need to release another upgrade just to compete.

The company last night made a big deal of the visual display tech at its PlayStation Meeting in NY.
Sony’s PS4 Pro was a highly anticipated reveal, previously known as PlayStation 4.5 and PlayStation Neo. Well, it’s said to offer 4K gaming with graphics that will be super-realistic, especially if connected to an HDR or high dynamic range TV.
Sony reported that 4K and HDR video content will be available on the upgraded console as well, particularly calling out a partnership with Netflix to develop a 4K streaming app for the PlayStation 4 Pro.
The specs for the PS4 Pro ensure that the console will not be capable of running each and every game at a native 4K resolution, but will rather upscale many games from 1080p in order to closely resemble 4K. Sony say’s it’s twice as fast as the original PS4, and, of course, it’s designed specifically for UHD TVs and the PlayStation VR. “So the net result of those thoughts was PlayStation 4 Pro – and, by and large, a graphical approach to game improvement”. PS4 Pro is created to allow gamers to play most games in 1080p resolution and maybe in 60 frames per second on titles that allow them.
The biggest discounts can be found on PS4 launch titles and early releases, but there are plenty here that you should absolutely pick up if you haven’t played them yet. Considering that this current generation has still yet to see a 60 fps parity, with some games even struggling to consistently hit 30 fps, this is a good thing.
Sony could be struggling to maintain the lead now, as the PS4 Pro is now looking to be the underdog. Perhaps developers will be able to meet 60fps for single-player campaigns, but then reduce the frame rate to 30fps in multiplayer if need be?
The big news here, though, is that, according to the video’s description, Tamriel Unlimited will run at native 4K on Sony’s upcoming machine.

It’s not totally clear how the release of the Pro is going to pan out. The system will have ultra-high-definition 4K and HDR support.
