Sony launches the new Xperia C5 Ultra

Sony didn’t divulge further details about the new handset they will be unveiling at the upcoming IFA 2015 tech trade event in Berlin, Germany but GSM Arena suggests that the company is adding the hybrid autofocus system to the upcoming Xperia Z5. The devices focus on the importance of camera capabilities and allow consumers to quickly capture pictures without compromising on other features across design and performance.

Given the limited storage space on board, the Xperia C5 Ultra uses a microSD card slot. Auto scene recognition mode analyses and adjusts settings automatically. The phone also features a front-flash for taking selfies in the dark. The device’s 22mm wide-angle lens also means that you can fit more in the frame.

“We understand that camera capabilities are important to smartphone users hence our assurance that the Xperia C5 Ultra Dual and Xperia M5 Dual will exceed expectations without compromising the phones”.

The Android Lollipop operating system based Sony Xperia C5 Ultra measures 164.2 x 79.6 x 8.2 mm and weighs 187 grams. The Xperia C5 Ultra has a screen to body ratio of almost 76 percent.

The phone comes with a six-inch border-less display, 13-mega pixel rear and front cameras, a 1.7 GHz 64 bit octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 4G network support. Targeted at selfie lovers, the smartphone will be available from Wednesday in Black, White, and Glossy Soft Mint colour variants. Its 2930 mAh battery claims to offer 14 hours and 24 minutes of talktime, 7.47 hours of video playback or 769 hours of standby.
