Sony launches Xperia C5 Ultra smartphone

Unlike Sony’s other mid-range and premium smartphones, the Xperia C5 Ultra doesn’t sport water and dust protection.

“We constantly strive to provide exclusive promotions for our loyal users in order to enhance the Sony user experience”, says Sony Malaysia country director Andrew Cheong. The device in question might very well be the Xperia Z5. The caption says, “Get ready for a smartphone with greater focus”, along with the revealing date saying, “All will become clear on 02.09.2015”. The statement and the image do point out towards a high-end camera.

The highlight of the phone is its cameras – it offers 13 megapixel cameras in both front and rear panel. The phone comes with dual 13MP cameras with LED flash modules for both sensors in a large chassis accommodating a 6-inch full-HD display.

“The large 6” Full HD display with IPS featuring Sony’s TV technology Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 lets you enjoy your videos and pictures in the finest detail. The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 200GB and is loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop. What’s more, Ultra STAMINA Mode optimises battery usage further to ensure it is used most effectively. The connectivity options that are bundled with the smartphone include dual-SIM card slots, Glonass, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, 3G, and 4G LTE support. It packs a 2930mAh battery; measures 164.2×79.6×8.2mm and weighs 187 grams.
