Sony PS4 Pro Pre-Order Launched on Amazon
The PS4 Pro is sort of an enhanced Playstation 4, remaining a part of this generation instead of ringing in a new one.

Crystal Dynamics has given us a new trailer, two screenshots, and a few details from Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration.
PlayStation chief Andrew House said: “More than three and a half years ago, I stood on stage in NY to unveil PlayStation 4, which captured our vision for the future of gaming”.
The new console will feature 4K support, as well as HDR technology, improved resolution and more stable frame rates. Take that, Xbox One S. But 4K streaming for services like Netflix will be available.
Sony’s new vertical stand is designed for the new slimmer PS4 and PS4 Pro (the existing vertical stand can not mount the new slimmer PS4 and PS4 Pro). The CPU portion of the processor is the same x86-64 AMD Jaguar with 8 cores (but higher clock speeds), however the GPU is now based upon AMD “Polaris” tech.
Even when considering improvements in horsepower on the smaller 14nm process node, however, the new premium PlayStation 4 Pro consumes about 90W more power than the original console with a 310W TDP, versus the original’s 230W to 250W design, depending on the revision. Sony is bringing HDR support to all PS4 consoles.
“Ultimately, with titles that leverage the potential of PS4 Pro – plus PlayStation VR launching soon – all PS4 owners continue to benefit from having the best place to play”.
So what can we expect from the PS4 Pro? Another important requirement is that developers can not have only PlayStation 4 Pro-compatible multiplayer environments, and that any multiplayer severs must be fully cross-compatible between both hardware designs.
Cerny also presented 4K game footage on stage from games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Spider-man to showcase the machine’s prowess.
