Sony reveals the PS4 Pro, its most powerful console ever
The powerful new PS4 Pro gaming console is being marketed by Sony as a 4K gaming box. Sony has confirmed that the PS4 Pro will have a GPU of 4.2 teraflops.

The extra horsepower allows it to display games in ultra-sharp 4K resolution with high-dynamic range (HDR) on newer TVs that support those features.
The PlayStation 4 Pro is a higher-end model that will be available on November 10, with an MSRP of $399.
Game Watch Impress: From here on out, we can think that all the titles from SIE will completely support PS4 Pro?
Video game console manufacturers are now releasing incremental updates more frequently, rather than major updates spaced several years apart.
Following Apple’s announcement of the iPhone 7, Sony held its own conference in New York City yesterday, unveiling the long-awaited PlayStation 4 Pro, and it’s slimmer counterpart, the PlayStation 4 Slim.
He’s referring to Microsoft’s plans to launch Project Scorpio, which Microsoft calls the “most powerful console ever made”, in holiday 2017. In addition, it’ll be upscaled to 4K from there, with text, menus and other miscellaneous UI bits and bobs rendered at native 4K resolution.
The console will feature a 1TB hard drive, advanced graphics and a faster processor, but more detailed specs were not unveiled. The console will also support HDR, alongside the new PS4 Slim and existing PS4 model. This is the biggest shocker of all, as even Microsoft’s new Xbox One S can play 4K Blu-rays, and it’s not even meant to be Microsoft’s major hardware upgrade.
Microsoft said Scorpio will be able to put games onto 4K.
