Sony’s PlayStation VR to launch on the 13th of October
After months of rumors pointing towards a PlayStation 4.5-in-the-making, Sony has finally revealed that the highly anticipated gaming console is indeed a reality.

According to a report from Time, the headset will be exclusive for use with the PlayStation 4 and will be remarkably nearly doubly cheaper than the previously unveiled Oculus Rift.
While Sony’s virtual reality games and headset aren’t the first one in the market, they are definitely one of the most affordable ones.
Sony started E3 2016 in a big way by announcing that a new God of War game is in development for the PS4.
Looks like we’ll find out soon as Sony Interactive Entertainment America used its annual E3 press conference on Monday to announce its actual VR rollout date.
PlayStation VR will likely dominate the show, especially given that it launches later this year. Sony reacted to Microsoft’s hardware offering and said that it has its own strategy for the console and the company is happy with it.
It’s hard to deny Sony at E3 2016 as its lineup announcement has blown the competition out of the water. Sony says the PlayStation VR headset will have an impressive 50 different games to choose from at launch, and some major titles are on board. Meaning that these consoles could offer something extra in the area of graphics and fidelity and play much smoother than games have previously.

The company is looking to cement its lead over Microsoft’s Xbox One and Nintendo’s Wii U consoles, which have sold 21 million and 12.8 million units respectively. “With the announcement of new console, this trend should possibly come to an end”, said House.
