The Xperia X Compact has all the same camera, video and audio features as the Xperia XZ, but in a smaller body.
Sony introduced the Xperia XZ and the Xperia X Compact early this month at IFA.
The Xperia XZ has Gorilla Glass 4.0 atop a 1080p display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 3GB of RAM, support for LTE Cat 9, 2.5D curved glass, and expandable 32GB of storage.
For those who are interested in the smaller, less-powerful offering from Sony, just days before the launch of the Xperia XZ, starting September 25, you will be able find the Xperia X Compact for $499.99 on Amazon or Best Buy.
The secondary camera on this baby is a stunning 13 MP shooter capable of shooting full-HD video. As per a notification received by Xperia Blog today, the new high-end device from Sony will be up for grabs on Best Buy, Amazon and various other outlets starting with October 2nd, the date from which the droid will become available for pre-order.

This morning, Sony offered up some key news on that front. The rear-facing 23MP camera features triple image sensing technology, which combines Laser Autofocus, Predictive Hybrid Autofocus and RGBC Infrared sensors. The phone can, naturally, shoot in 4K (this is Sony we’re talking about here), supported by five-axis video stabilization. The camera-centric devices called the Xperia XZ and the X Compact seemed to impress quite a few people but the Japanese firm hadn’t revealed any details on when the handsets would go on sale and how much they would cost. The Xperia XZ also has a stereo dual microphone system with noise cancellation. Boasting a durable 4.6-inch Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 HD 720p TRILUMINOS™ display, Xperia X Compact also boasts the world’s first 5-axis video stabilization with fully enhanced SteadyShot image stabilization technology, allowing users to record smoother videos on the move or close up.
