Sony wants to know what improvements you think the PS4 needs

Ever since it was released in 2013, the console has been receiving numerous updates in order to keep the community happy and close to it. Sony are very aware that they permanently need to give players reasons to stick to the console and now they are planning on releasing other features so that their claim remains strong. Outside of next Spring’s Uncharted 4, there isn’t anything of note releasing on the PlayStation 4 from Sony Computer Entertainment, so it’s no surprise to see the newest PlayStation commercial featuring more of that third-party exclusive content hype.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 has never been lingering in its 15 minutes of fame. The survey started with a blank box, but towards the end of it, options fields popped out, with the query for participants on most desired features for PS4 Firmware 4.0. A few features you can vote for include PS2 classics, “appear offline” mode, deleting items from your library, changing your PSN ID (why isn’t this just…available?) and custom backgrounds. One requested option for a store wish list was recently implemented in a PlayStation 4 system update.

But the most interesting feature mentioned is PS1 or PS2 classics for the PS4.

The final days of October are finally here, which means that Sony Computer Entertainment will finally unveil the list of free games that PlayStation Plus subscribers could enjoy during the month of November.

When any of the features listed above might be added is anybody’s guess. It’s hard to know, but it does suggest that Sony are prepared to gauge the wants and needs of their fan base.

A questionnaire from Sony is asking players to chime in on what new features they would like to see on the Play Station 4
