Sony Xperia XR alleged renders leaked ahead of launch: Specifications, features
As for the device itself, it’s expected to offer curved sides, which would differ from many of Sony‘s previous Xperia flagships that had flat sides.

According to Hemmerstoffer, the handset – reported to have the model number F8331 – will have the following dimensions: 146.4 x 71.9 x 8.1mm.
Now a new leak suggests that Sony might be coming with new Xperia handset in couple months and is most likely to be announced at IFA.
Leaker and journalist Steve Hemmerstoffer has dished out a series of images depicting a phone that he says is the Sony Xperia XR. The previously leaked Xperia smartphone came with a code name F8331 and is nearly certainly the same Xperia XR which has been leaked now.
From what we’ve gathered so far, Sony’s upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a 5.1-inch full HD (1080p) display.
What do you think about this redesign?
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 will be in the realm of the device. The graphics division is handled by the powerful Adreno 530 in the SoC. Any other variant with higher RAM or increased inbuilt memory is unknown at the moment. The Xperia XR will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The things we loved about the phone are the solid build, the bright display, the quality of the main camera, and the overall performance. The rear camera of the phone will be a 21 MP unit which will probably make use of one of Sony’s Exmor sensors. The rear camera, as per the images, sports a dualLED flash. The downsides are the unnaturally cold screen colors, the disappointing selfie camera, as well as the average battery life.
The single SIM supported phone will come with a dual band 5 GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi and the latest Bluetooth chip. If the rumors are believed to be true, this might be the first Sony smartphone to feature a Type-C port.

Sony has not made any official announcement yet but it is now believed that Sony might have quietly axed the Sony Xperia Z6.
