Sony Xperia Z5 now available in a pink colour variant
The leaked images hinted at a January launch in Taiwan for the variant, in time for the Chinese New Year. That, and the pink cupcake, was pretty much a dead giveaway that it would be announcing something that many might have already seen coming: a pink Xperia Z5.

Sony teased a pink color version of its flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z5, in the last couple of days.
Unveiled back in September at IFA 2015, Xperia Z5 is one of the best camera phones available on the market. The variants include Xperia Z6, Xperia Z6 Compact, and Xperia Z6 Premium. Described as “warm” and “sophisticated” the new color is “designed to provide a natural complement to the existing colours and offer prospective Xperia customers with new ways of expressing their style”.
“We knew we wanted to add pink to the Z5 series from our very first moodboards and sketches as it seemed to compliment the colour palette to the rest of the range”, says Rikke Gertsen Constein, lead designer of the project.
It was the time-consuming task for the company to produce a suitable design because of the frosted glass and aluminum frame as the product team did an advanced research throughout the world to find out the most lovely shades of pink. In her own words: “We wanted the color to appear strong and modern, and here the material is playing an important role. The handset comes with a 5.2” 1080 x Full HD Triluminos display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB onboard expandable memory, 23MP rear camera with 4K video recording, 5.1MP front-facing camera, fingerprint scanner, and a 2,900mAh capacity battery.

This time Sony pushes an innovation when it comes to other features like its camera. Sony still boasts of a 2-day battery life, with STAMINA mode enabled, even with a rather paltry 2900 mAh battery.
