Rain continues to come down south of Baton Rouge-a concerning sight for thousands who are now surviving the flood waters and inconsistent rains in this area.
University president Harris Pastides announced Tuesday that USC s football equipment truck will be stationed at four different locations between Wednesday and Friday of this week to gather items to be transported to Baton Rouge. According to CBS News, at least seven people have been killed and more than 20,000 have had to be rescued since Friday because of the flooding, which is described as some of the “worst the state has ever seen”.
The school is coordinating efforts to collect items to be sent to recent flood victims.
Those attending the My Carolina Alumni Association Fall Sports Preview Party at the My Carolina Alumni Center, Thursday evening are encouraged to bring and contribute items at the event.
During the historic October floods of 2015, LSU hosted the Gamecocks in a football game originally scheduled for Williams-Brice Stadium on Oct. 10. “I’m going to Baton Rouge after that, I don’t know”. “Now, it is our turn to help our SEC friends”.

But LSU fans did their best to make the Gamecocks at home (http://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-football/article38295864.html), including playing USC’s music and hype video in Tiger Stadium and raising money for S.C. flood relief. All net proceeds from the game were given by LSU to SC.
