South Carolina’s jobless rate decreases again
The Lincoln rate dropped a tenth of a point to 2.5 percent and was down seven-tenths of a point from the 3.2 percent a year ago.

In July, the Midwest had the lowest regional unemployment rate, 4.8 percent, while the West had the highest rate, 5.7 percent.
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity reports that 30,500 jobs were added in July, but 517,000 Floridians remained out of work.
Gov. Rick Scott announced the new unemployment rate at a manufacturing facility in Naples.
Wallace says the state still remains close to the full unemployment level, which is 3.5 percent. “We are working hard to continue cutting taxes and reducing regulations so more businesses will grow and expand here”. Some of those losses were offset by gains in government, professional and business services and financial activities. Boulder County had the lowest unemployment rate in the state at 3.3 percent.
Prior to Friday’s release of July numbers, Iowa’s unemployment rate had been declining for months.
Employment in thegovernmentsector, which includes public education, public administration agencies and state-owned hospitals, rose by 2,400 jobs in July 2015, and gained 2,600 positions since July 2014. Economists say the increases could be because a growing economy is creating jobs and drawing more workers into the workforce.
