“We are doing this to inform the 20 million starving people in North Korea of the truth”, Park told reporters.
Gen. Vincent Brooks, commander of U.S. Forces Korea and the combined forces, called the test an “unacceptable threat” and said the bombers were just one example of the “deep arsenal” available to defend the peninsula. The product benefits from the participation of a diverse group of specialists and former policymakers who bring a wealth of experience to the elusive task of effectively addressing the challenge to USA and South Korean interests posed by the North Korean regime, both through its nuclear development and its human rights practices.
“The latest test also emphasises the urgency for those states that have not yet done so‚ particularly those that possess nuclear weapons‚ to join the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty so as to facilitate its entry into force without any further delay”. It is simply not in China’s interest to risk losing an ally on its border only to have it replaced by a USA -backed state hosting missile-tracking systems and other military forces targeting it.
Experts believe that China wants North Korea as a buffer between its border and United States and its allies.
China is North Korea’s most important diplomatic and trade partner and refuses to cut the country off completely, fearing it could collapse.
“On the other hand, North Korea is a big headache but regime change is not an option”, the source added.
South Korea’s U.N. Ambassador Oh Joon also told South Korean correspondents that discussions have begun on a new resolution, adding that the USA and China will be the main players leading consultations on the resolution.
“We also believe that sanction is neither an end nor the only approach”.
President Obama vowed new sanctions “to demonstrate to North Korea that there are consequences to its unlawful and unsafe actions”.
Publicly, China has not linked the THAAD deployment with whether it will support sanctions on North Korea.
Build a trilateral capacity to intercept all North Korean mid-range or long-range missile launches whether they are declared to be ballistic missile tests or civil space launch vehicles.
North Korea presents one of the most risky worldwide security challenges facing the world.
Pyongyang’s January nuclear test and a long-range rocket launch in February resulted in the tightening of sanctions against North Korea in a new UN Security Council resolution adopted in March.

North Korea has not explicitly admitted to operating the centrifuges to produce weapons-enriched uranium, instead claiming they were meant to generate fuel for a light water reactor it was going to build.
