South Park: The Fractured but Whole has been delayed to Q1 2017, according to a post on Ubisoft’s blog.

It’s clear that superheroes – specifically superhero movies – are the game’s latest target, as the story revolved around Cartman’s attempts to form a neighborhood super hero group.

The new South Park game won’t come out this year. New in South Park: The Fractured But Whole is the ability to change his gender to female if players wish to do so. The development team needs a bit more time to make the game experience meet the fans’ high expectations.

With delays coming out the wazoo lately, I find myself saying this a lot, but I don’t mind waiting a little more to ensure we get a quality game that works on day one. The “Black Friday” 3-parter in Season 17 of South Park ended with the creation of the Stick of Truth, a mystic totem of power that became central to the plot of the first South Park RPG, released three months later.
