Southern Vipers claim inaugural Kia Super League title

A season that began for Charlotte Edwards with the loss of the England captaincy and global retirement ended in triumph at Chelmsford on Sunday when her Southern Vipers won the first Kia women’s Super League title.

The first year of Super League has been a qualified success, with the majority of the best overseas players in the game, like Bates, taking part and reasonable attendances but no television coverage.
