The airline said Tuesday the daily nonstop flights will begin service early next year.

According to the airport, passengers can fly from Atlanta to 100 cities in the Southwest Airlines network. “Southwest is one of five successful airlines serving CAK, so there are still many options for travelers seeking low-fares, nonstop flights and global connectivity”. The schedule previously was only open for flights through April 11.

Southwest Airlines today said it plans to begin non-stop service between Phoenix and Wichita, Kan., in April.

The addition of the flights is a double-edge sword, with Southwest saying it will end service to Chicago Midway once the flights to St. Louis begin. The airline is also adding a second daily flight to Tulsa, OK and Minneapolis-St.

The airline will expand its non-stop service between Lambert Airport and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Des Moines, Iowa and Wichita, Kansas.

This is the first time Southwest has established a route between Ford Airport and Chicago’s Midway, airport spokeswoman Tara Hernandez said.
