One of the most famous bull runs is in Pamplona, which was immortalized by US author Ernest Hemingway in his 1926 novel “The Sun Also Rises“.
The victim, identified as David González Lopez, 32, was trying to capture a collision between bulls in the central Spanish town of Villaseca de la Sagra when another beast turned back and charged a crowd of gawkers who stepped into the street from behind the safety of barriers, according to reports. “The young man died on Sunday of his injuries”, he added.
His was the fourth dying by goring on the town festivals thus far this yr in Spain.
Although no other deaths have been recorded in Pamplona this year, ten people, including four Americans, have been injured after being gored by bulls at the Pamplona festival.
The town’s mayor Jesus Hijosa said: “This sends shivers down our spine”.
Every year Spanish bull run festivals attract thousands of thrill-seeking local and foreign tourists.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) regularly calls on Spain bring an end to the running of the bulls and bullfighting events in general. “Bulls are unsafe animals and when there are a lot of people some don’t pay attention…you have to have your wits about you”, the mayor Hijosa said in a statement, The Guardian reported.
