Revealed for the first time to audiences at the Galaxy Unpacked event in NY, the 5.7 inch phablet features a dual curved display, a feature it inherits from the S7 Edge. A Samsung spokesman confirmed remarks made by Koh Dong-jin, head of the firm’s mobile communications business, during a press conference with South Korean reporters in NY on Wednesday following the firm’s unveiling of the new phone.

As with past Note handsets, the Note 7 comes with a stylus.

As for their differences, the Note 7 has a larger 5.7-inch quadHD display, while the S7 Edge sports a 5.5-inch quadHD display. Whether or not the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is worth paying the extra money depends on you. Denison also played up the 3,500 mAh battery in the device and its expandable storage, two features that best Apple’s current iPhones. The device also has fingerprint scanning as Samsung is focusing on improving biometric authentication. The USB-C cable is reversible, meaning it doesn’t matter which side you plug it in.

The enhanced Galaxy Note7 S Pen is more than just a writing tool – it is the gateway to getting more done efficiently and accurately. Not only is it now more accurate and sharper to use but it is also water resistant.

We reported a few days ago that Samsung might incorporate a Power Saving Mode on its Galaxy Note 7 flagship, and it seems that the rumors have been confirmed.

This is the first smartphone from Samsung to integrate Iris scanner technology which can be used to unlock the smartphone, or even a lock a specific folder.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note phones have always taken the successful elements of the Galaxy S line, made them bigger, and added a pen. Numerous hardware elements were taken from the Galaxy S7.

The Note 7 was the main draw at Samsung’s unveiling event, but it wasn’t the only one.

It’s also compatible with the Gear VR headset, which is the best mobile virtual reality experience on the market right now (although Google Daydream is coming).
