Speakers list: Trump’s convention lineup has pols and celebs
On Thursday, the speakers list for the Republican national convention was released-and, to some extent, it promises to fulfill the “showbiz” quality Donald Trump hoped to bring to the gathering.

According to the Times, Tebow will be part of the main event on Night 4 of the convention, kicking off a night of speeches that include Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, Ivanka Trump and the presumptive nominee himself. It’s not going to be a ho-hum lineup of, you know, the typical politicians, ” she said in a recent radio interview.
Tebow will reportedly be joined at the convention by UFC President Dana White, who is set to speak on July 19, and LPGA golfer Natalie Gulbis, who is slated for July 20. And in a slap at Democratic contender Hillary Clinton, Mark Geist and John Tiegen will also take the stage, both survivors of the deadly 2012 attack on the American diplomatic consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
“We are totally over-booked”. Only five of the 16 Republicans who ran against Trump will be speaking, including Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, and Scott Walker. “We have great speakers, we have winners, we have people that aren’t only political people”, he added on Fox News on Tuesday.
“In many respects, with the number of officers coming from across the country, it is America’s convention”, said Secret Service Agent Ron Rowe.
Brady was initially floated as a possible speaker, but he won’t appear. Neither is former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight or legendary boxing promoter Don King, a Cleveland resident and passionate Trump supporter.
Trump does not forget his business relationships, giving speaking slots to real estate investor Tom Barrack, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel and even the general manager for Virginia’s Trump Winery, Kerry Woolard. White, president of the U.F.C.; Asa Hutchinson, the governor of Arkansas; Michael Mukasey, the former United States attorney general; Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a vice-presidential possibility; Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader; Tiffany Trump; Donald Trump Jr. and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

Trump spent much of Wednesday in Indiana, where he had breakfast with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and then huddled with Gingrich, who made a last-minute visit to Indianapolis.
