Jose Mourinho hailed Marcus Rashford’s late contribution against Hull City yesterday and hinted that the 18-year-old has a big role to play for Manchester United this season.
United finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season but Jose Mourinho’s side are now in second spot.

The former Sunderland manager also called West Ham winger Michail Antonio into the squad for the first time while leaving out in-form Everton midfielder Ross Barkley. It would suggest Allardyce is looking to play with more width than England did under Hodgson.
Rashford burst onto the scene last season, scoring eight goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.
“But from a selfish point of view, just thinking about me and the evolution of my player, I prefer him to play matches with the under-21s. It is the same as when a player makes a mistake and you lose because of it”. Of course we had a bit of luck at the end.
“It is time for him to acknowledge that he simply can’t keep doing both – and I mean that for his own good”.
Rashford, 18, made his first appearance of the season for United as a substitute at Hull City on Saturday and tapped in a 92nd-minute victor to give Jose Mourinho’s side a 1-0 victory.
With the acquisition of Zlatan Ibrahimovich, and Wayne Rooney being returned to a striker role, Rashford was suddenly down the pecking order at United.
He is still a key player for Manchester United and Shearer believes he should call time on England to prolong his career in club football.
