On Friday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said in the Lok Sabha that the Centre is seized of the issue of the special status for Andhra Pradesh and will try to find a solution at the earliest.

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also made arrangements to invite all important persons at national level to the pushkaralu.
Jaitley’s statement in the Rajya Sabha had evoked sharp reaction from the TDP with Chandrababu Naidu asking the Modi government to fulfil all its commitments under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
Naidu informed the media wing that he has made it clear to the Prime Minister of India that the people of Andhra Pradesh will be get satisfied with anything other than the special status.
It was perhaps for the first time that Mr Singh had himself spoken on the issue over which NDA-ally TDP and its government in Andhra Pradesh has locked horns with the BJP-led government at the Centre.
The Chief Minister is also believed to have said that since several political parties supported the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, the chances of their resistance to special status to the state is likely to be little. “Congress party and its leaders were now raising a hue and cry inside and outside Parliament for the sake of publicity on the issue”.
Having said that, it did come as an embarrassment to Naidu that Union minister of state Sujana Chowdary, a TDP MP, clapped in celebration of the victory of the BJP in referring a private member’s bill on special category status to the Lok Sabha speaker to decide whether or not it is a money bill.
