Snap said Spectacles captures video in a new circular format that can be viewed full screen whether holding a phone upright or on its side.

Social media app Snapchat is introducing video-recording glasses called Spectacles and is changing its company name to incorporate the new product.
“Imagine one of your favorite memories”, the announcement on the company’s website reads.
Spectacles cameras take video from the outlook of wearers, claim a 115-degree field of view.
The name change will also allow for better internet search functions for users searching for information on different aspects of the company. Claiming that the glasses are one of a kind, said, “We have created one of the smallest wireless video cameras in the world, capable of taking a day’s worth of Snaps on a single charge”. And when I got the footage back and watched it, I could see my own memory, through my own eyes-it was unbelievable.
Vanishing message service Snapchat announced Saturday it will launch a line of video-catching sunglasses, a spin on Glass eyewear abandoned by Google more than a year ago. They take snippets of video projected for sharing at the service. “That’s why we built Spectacles”.
In January past year, Google halted sales of its Internet-linked eyewear Glass, which became available in the U.S. in early 2014.
As for privacy concerns, the Spectacles has an outward facing light that will turn on when you’re recording while another inward light will turn on to remind you that you’re recording.
The Glass test programme was later expanded to Britain, but no general consumer version was released. The new device will come in three colours and connect directly to Snapchat via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Firstly, this video is approached by a news agency and then at last Spiegel reveal these Spectacles in his recent interview with a Journal.

Snap posted a promotional video, above, for Spectacles on YouTube and is expected to show off the gadget in NY next week.
