Spider-Man: Homecoming Concept Art Confirms Spidey’s Villain

Brie Larson gestures as Chris Hardwick takes a selfie with actors from Marvel Studios movies following the Marvel Studios panels on day 3 of Comic-Con International on Saturday, July 23, 2016, in San Diego.

The clip starts with the song bad reputation. “Every story, every hero, has a beginning”. The kind you’d doodle in while not paying attention in history.

The teaser, which was not released online, showed the friendly neighborhood webslinger (played by Tom Holland) and his friends at school, and ends with a quick shot of the Vulture, descending from above.

We also see him and his friend staring, mouths agape, at the girl classmates, which another female classmate tells them is creepy. Spider-Man Homecoming will be produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. He says that he often says “this is the ground level of the marvel universe”, as opposed to Iron Man which is about a millionaire inventor or Guardians which is set outside this galaxy. She responds, “What are you hiding Peter?” Cut back to Peter not being able to respond to the high school girl.

Oh, and a button to the comic con sizzle reel shows a character who appears to be Vulture falling down from the sky towards the camera.

Granted, we didn’t get to see the footage of what Marvel dubbed a “high school movie”, but the Vulture is a central piece – and Michael Keaton’s now finally been confirmed for the role!

Michael Keaton was rumored to play The Vulture in the film, and some casting reports suggest that the film will feature multiple villains. BirthMoviesDeath first named the Vulture as a classic Spidey villain who would appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Filming is still in progress, however at least we have something to feast off of for now until the first official trailer of the upcoming Spidey film comes out.
