Spider-Man has been set to make his first appearance in the MCU in the upcoming Captain American: Civil War film, but nothing has been seen or heard from Spider-Man in any of the trailers or marketing so far. In 2014, he spoke about how the success of “Guardians of the Galaxy” will influence Phase 3 of the MCU, saying, “Who knows how much we’ve influenced Phase 3, but I think the one thing is that the Guardians aren’t backseat to the Avengers”.

We know that a stand-alone Spider-Man film is scheduled to release on July 28th, 2017, but everyone in the cast and crew of Captain America: Civil War refused to budge on the subject of Spider-Man. However sometimes Marvel shoots things and then does not use them.

Tell us, who do you think Murphy could play in the world of The Avengers? According to the screenwriters, a large part of the reason for this is that the Hulk really can’t be in the film. He explained, “There are a lot of awesome actors in this movie”. The movie is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, and the screenplay was written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Spider-Man has now joined the league of superheroes who will feature in the highly-anticipated movie. Many fans assumed it will be in “Civil War“, since Peter Parker played an integral role in the storyline of the 2006 comic book written by Mark Millar. And in some cases there are some you will meet ever so briefly in this film and then will be expanded upon in future films. Feige also teased Martin Freeman’s mysterious character will be introduced without much screen time. “We might go, ‘How about Black Panther?’ And they go, ‘Eh, save him for his own movie.’ And it was like, ‘But we desperately need someone now!’ ‘Okay, you can have Black Panther'”. “It looks a little bit like he’s playing one game when actually he’s playing another”, he teased.
