The Spider-Man reboot sure isn’t being shy in taking chances to ensure this version of the web-slinger is the best it can be.
According to AVClub, John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein have been writing partners for years now and have numerous box office hitting movies under their belt. The story will center on Peter Parker in his high school years.
In case you’re not familar with Daley or Goldstein’s work, the pair have mainly worked on comedies including awful Bosses and the sequel film.
During Comic-Con, Sam Raimi (Evil Dead), the director of the first three Spider-Man films, was asked to share his thoughts on Marvel’s upcoming reboot. To date however, Tom Holland has been the only officially announced cast member, who will coincidentally portray the titular character.
MTV’s Josh Horowitz kicked things off by asking Raimi if he saw Marc Webb’s awesome Spider-Man films. The superhero film will be set in high school, with Marvel topper Kevin Feige (who is producing along with Amy Pascal) saying that it will have a John Hughes vibe.
