THE cheers of Marvel fans this morning began loudly with the second trailer for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War superhero flick, but descended quickly into argument.
Jeremy Renner has shared Captain America: Civil War promotional artwork that features Hawkeye’s fresh new threads.
Spider-Man isn’t the only new Marvel Comics’ character to make a prominent appearance in the trailer. “I’ve run out of patience”, and then calls out, “Underoos!” We’re talking about Spider-Man, of course.
Spidey is being played by 19-year-old Tom Holland, and no doubt Marvel is hoping that his appearance will drive the hype for the as-yet-unnamed reboot due next year.
Chris Evans’s Captain America might have less screen time in the new trailer than Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, who figures to be the hinge on which the movie’s version of the conflict turns.
In February 2015, Sony Pictures, who hold the cinematic rights to the web-slinging superhero, and Marvel Studios reached an agreement for the character to appear in the Walt Disney Avengers franchise as well as a 2017 stand-alone movie under Sony.
