Spieth uses Tiger comparisons to stay grounded
Harmon has not only worked with Tiger, but also Greg Norman, Tom Watson, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Fred Couples, Nick Faldo, Davis Love III, and Tom Watson. Spieth thinks a lot about Lefty, too. But, boy, it would be hard to believe I could be compared to him the entire course of a career.

World number one Spieth, 22, made more than US$53 million (RM233.107 million) in combined winnings and endorsement deals to top the magazine’s list of 2015 golf revenue producers, with US$30 million from sponsor Under Armour boosting Spieth’s total. But I’ve got enough chances, you know.
Coke vice president Peggy Loosalso praised Spieth in a statement for “not only [representing] the golf community but American culture”. Rather, he uses Woods as a measuring stick for just how far he still has to go. Woods was a month younger, and he turned pro later.
The 22-year-old produced a six-under round of 67 to become only the second player in PGA Tour history to finish a 72-hole tournament at 30-under par or lower. Spieth achieved this seven wins under 23 milestone in 77 tournament starts.
“Nowhere near”, he said. I’m very excited with where I am at as a start to my career. “What Tiger’s done, I can’t imagine ever being done again but it’s nice to be in that company”.
Woods always drew massive galleries at Kapalua – he last played here in 2005.
His agent, Jay Danzi, said he has been inundated with offers, particularly after a year in which Spieth won the Masters and U.S. Open, among his five titles, and won the Tour Championship to claim the FedEx Cup and its $10 million bonus. One major, and the comparisons with Woods had already begun.
But Nicklaus said golf features a group of players capable of rivaling golf’s greatest generation. The 14-time major champion is third on the list. Spieth answered with a two-putt birdie in the group behind him and then rolled in a 15-foot birdie putt on the 10th and was on his way. He lowered his head and said quietly, “Paddy, Paddy, Paddy”.
Spieth and McIlroy best have filled the void. He started the year with a runner-up in Abu Dhabi and a victory in Dubai. “This kid is so smart”, Woods said.

Golf has a new money king. “I hope that’s the case, and I’m certainly going to strive for it”. “That means I’m still being in the same ballpark as he is”.
