Spinoff Online Fox Would ‘Love to Do More’ ‘X-Files’ Spinoff Online
Fox is beginning to dream big for its modern-day revival of The X-Files.

Speculation is running rampant that there will be another run of episodes for the supernatural show after comments from FOX executives indicated their desire to move forward. “So far, the response has been really encouraging”, Fox entertainment president David Madden tells Variety, speaking in an interview conducted earlier in The X-Files season. The miniseries comes to a close on Monday night with the final episode airing at 10pm EST on Fox, but that might not be the end for the series. These rumblings are yet official but insiders say it all depends on the schedules of its main trio: Chris Carter, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. However, he did say that if they do decide to do more shows in the future and they wanted him back, he’d be there “in a NY minute”.
Would the cast be open to returning for more episodes?
FOXs return to The X-Files has turned out (not unexpectedly) to be a huge hit for the network. “So we would be on board if schedules can be worked out”. But the only reason this revival ever seemed like a good idea was the return of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny.
With the season finale arriving on Monday, we have to wonder…will The X-Files season 11 happen?
Could Duchovny change his mind now that he sees the success of the revival? He stated the following a year ago at a press event. He said: “I would never have gone and done another 22 episodes of X-Files, but we’re going to do six – well, that’s like doing a movie”. Six to me sounds very doable at any walk of my life. “I would hope it will be successful, I would hope we could continue, but right now, I’m just looking at it as these six, and then we’ll see what happens”, the actor added.

We will keep you posted as we learn more! I would be happy with another season of The X-Files, because no matter how many blunders they make, it will be tough for them to ruin the pleasure of Mulder and Scully’s interactions.
