Spire London: Europe’s tallest skyscraper for residents to be built in Docklands
The new tower will be neck-and-neck in height with Canary Wharf’s tallest skyscraper, the office building One Canada Square.

Developer Greenland Group have promised the tower’s 67 floors will provide “five-star lifestyle amenities”, including a 35th floor Spa with 465sqm swimming pool, gym and fitness studio, cocktail bar and cinema room.
Greenland says it now has a £53bn GDV global portfolio of property and other assets, and is building more than 82 million square metres of new commercial and residential projects worldwide.
Agents CBRE and JLL have been appointed to start selling some of the swanky 861 apartments from next month.
The move marks a sign of confidence in the London property market following the UK’s vote to quit the European Union, and the Chinese investment comes at a critical time for Sino-British ties in light of the Government’s delay over Hinkley Point.
“In our view Spire London fulfills these criteria, and we believe there will be significant demand for the apartments within this tower from both the United Kingdom and overseas”.
The interiors of the building have been put together by leading interior designer Nicola Fontanella of Argent Design.
Spire London will officially “launch” at an event on 13 October 2016 when apartments are to go on sale with a 999-year lease at prices starting from £595,000.
The design is inspired by the orchid and the three “petals” create a unique angled roof that allows for outside terraces in the premier and penthouse apartments.
The tower, which will be the tallest of its kind in the United Kingdom and Western Europe, will have 67 storeys and will measure up at 771ft (235.145m) high.
It will have the highest and most far-reaching views ever provided by apartments in the capital when it is completed in 2020.
Developers have insisted those tenants will still have equal access to communal facilities on the third floor including a creche, meeting rooms, games room, and “cultural space”.

At night, feature lighting around the top of the tower will reinforce the landmark silhouette of Spire London, complemented by accent lighting to the trees, benches and paved piazza.
