Spirited Leicester hold Man City to goalless PL draw
Manuel Pellegrini was happy with Manchester City’s first clean sheet without Vincent Kompany this season despite the goalless draw against Leicester extending his side’s winless away run in the Barclays Premier League.

Claudio Ranieri is hopeful he can keep Leicester City’s star performers at the King Power Stadium in the upcoming transfer window after a stellar first half to the Premier League season.
“We’ll just see how far we can go, we’re taking it one game at a time and trying to pick up as many points as we can. I am not a doctor but normally with a muscle injury less than three or four weeks is very hard, especially on the calf”. “I do not think it will be less than three-four weeks”.
Leicester have lost their last three games in all competitions against City, conceding six goals in the process. “I think the big teams have to stay at a high level, but sometimes it means nobody wants to win the league – it’s very unusual this league”, Ranieri told BT Sport after the City game.
“We’ve had a fantastic half-season, it’s unbelievable what we are doing and we must continue”.
“We have played everyone now and we have showed we are more than capable of playing up there with the best of them”.
Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane on a last minute victor in Watford last weekend: “To get the goal in the last minute is always special, though, and to win the game is very important”. They’re not going to win the league because Arsenal and Man City are better.
“We had more possession and attempts than Leicester and did more to win the game, but if you can’t win it’s important not to lose”.
Vardy is in line for improved terms after an excellent second season in the Premier League, with negotiations expected to start in the next few weeks. While Marc Albrighton failed to convert on a great cross from Christian Fuchs, a turnover by Manchester’s Fernandinho left the ball on the foot of Jamie Vardy, who shares the Premier League scoring lead with Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.
“We are building the team, building the personality and the tactical way”.
“We will fight, right until the end”. Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri thought his side showed signs of fatigue at Anfield but was delighted with their effort on Tuesday, saying a point apiece was a fair result. I’d like my players to continue to fight like today.

“They are important players but we must think about a lot of different things – not just two players”.
