Lydia Ko’s remarkable run of contention at major tournaments is set to come to an end, with the world number one 13 shots off the pace after three rounds of the Women’s British Open.

That puts the 21-year-old on three under for the tournament, eight shots behind Lee. “I had issues with my tee shot”. Earlier this season, she shot an opening-round 64 in the U.S. Women’s Open before finishing in a tie for 11th place. “That’s what’s making me feel comfortable”.

The top-ranked Ko was tied for 27th at 3 under after shooting 69. She became the first player from Thailand to win on the LPGA Tour this year when won three consecutive events. She won the ANA Inspiration in April.
