Spotify’s Most Streamed Artist of 2015 Revealed
Over the last 12 months over 75 million people have listened to 20 billion hours of music, creating more than 2 billion playlists all on Spotify alone.

He’s overtaken Eminem, who’s now in second place and is also the most streamed artist in the UK.
The 24-year-old from Suffolk was the only United Kingdom artist in the top five of Spotify’s Year In Music global list, where he came second and was followed by Canadian producer The Weeknd, Maroon 5 and Kanye West.
But the most streamed artist in the world for 2015 is the “Hotline Bling” singer Drake.
Globally, the top album was the Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness, while Lean On by Major Lazer ft.
Yet for all the success enjoyed by Drake and the Weeknd, both have a long way to go before they can catch Ed Sheeran. With 1.8 billion streams and 46 million listeners Drake has over doubled Ed Sheeran’s 860 million streams that won him the top spot previous year. Drake’s “If You’re Reading This” also topped the US albums list, while Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” was the most streamed song in America.
Diplo and Switch, the producers behind the group, said: “One Love, One Lazer!!”
