Expect a 50 percent chance of showers and storms tonight, with a low of 65, according to the weather service.

The threat for storms and severe weather continues not only today but for the rest of the week. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch are possible.

The severe storms will continue to move eastward Tuesday night, although the intensity level of numerous storms should gradually decrease.

This second storm system is likely to initiate yet another severe weather outbreak, including the potential for tornadoes over the Central states on Thursday and Friday.

As winds stay out of the south tomorrow, pulling in that warm and humid air, we could see a few more isolated afternoon severe storms tomorrow.
