It’s “Daylight Saving Time” once again, so Minnesotans will lose an hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, which they will get back this fall.

It’s “daylight saving time”, not “daylight savings time.” . The Englishman published the 1907 brochure “The Waste of Daylight” and spent much of his personal fortune evangelizing with missionary zeal for the adoption of “summer time”. She said that if occasionally losing or gaining an hour of sleep was a major stroke risk factor, then it would happen with regularity with airline passengers flying from coast to coast.
Will your iPhone wake you up at the right time on November 1st?
HollywoodLifers, do you wish your state would stop observing daylight saving time?
Supporters of DST have shown research showing a decrease in auto accidents during the longer daylight hours and an increase when we switch back in the Fall. Being in the Mountain Time Zone, Tucson is sometimes an hour ahead and sometimes shares the exact same time with us.
Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday March 13th at 2AM for users who are in a location where Daylight Saving is observed.

There are some states, like Alaska, California, Rhode Island that are considering doing away with the time change altogether. If it looks like the screenshot above you are good to go. The question remains, however, whether they want to spend the year with the clocks moved permanently forward which would give more sunlight at night, or whether it’s better to have more sunlight in the morning, standard time. Even worse than having to change the time on your Fitbit. According to a 2004 study in Accident Analysis and Prevention, remaining on daylight saving time year round would save the lives of more than 170 pedestrians per year. Exposing yourself to the bright light of the sun causes your body to pull its internal clock forward and allows you to assume regular sleep patterns despite the adjustment in time. “People are trying to adjust to the time change”. Forget and you’ll be running behind time at dawn. Now you can set your alarms like you normally would and be sure that you get up on time. The sun will rise later and the sun will set later.
