Social media and technology web pages are criticizing the new plan for this fee and the prices, the website “Tom’s Guide” explains in an article that Sprint customers would pay less if they stuck to the $75 unlimited data and assessed the $10.99 Amazon’s Prime service.

Earlier this year, it started offering $11 per month access to Amazon Prime, and last year Sprint offered a year’s worth of Amazon Prime just for buying a Samsung smartphone. Weird name for a cell plan, right?

Neat idea, let’s see if it helps the carrier continue to boost its customer base.

The Better Choice plans, not to be confused with T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plans, were introduced in February as an easy way for customers to choose the desired amount of data needed to share with the entire family. After signing up a message will be received to activate Amazon’s Prime service registration. Customers can also access preloaded or downloaded Amazon apps for easy access to Prime content on compatible smartphones. While the unlimited data plan from Sprint costs $75 a month without any fee. The 12-month subscription to Amazon Prime begins when the customer completes the activation steps. The Better Choice XXL plan also includes Sprint Global Roaming, free unlimited worldwide texting from the United States to more than 180 countries and mobile hotspot capabilities.
