Tottenham missed a rare chance to go top of the Premier League on Wednesday when West Ham won their London derby 1-0 to go within a point of the four Champions League places.

The league leaders struck back, however, with a fortuitous deflected shot from Danny Drinkwater and a brilliantly-executed first league goal of the season for Andy King on the stroke of halftime.
He was substituted after a hour on Sunday because, he said, “I had not trained for a week because of a stomach bug and played my second match in three days”.
